How can you change the default temperature to display unit status (ON/OFF)? I tried creating a variable and setting the input to it in the program but this did not work.

The first three variables are tied through firmware to the first three items on the display. So if you change the VAR1 to ON-Off you will see that change on the Tstat display. We may have some work to do in order to make it display correctly, ON-OFF instead of 0 - 1. For now its mainly limited to temperature, humidity and other process control. We can add features for more applications soon.
