IP address reverting back to factory setting

Hi all,

7 different TB’s in various parts of a large building, controlling lighting loads. I’ve slowly been working on intergrating this with our building security system to turn the lights off when the system is armed. I have noticed that quite often 2~3 units will revert back to their factory IP address. I also seem to drop communications quite often. The site has fortinet switched that have a Vlan setup just for these devices. Anyone have issues like this?

edit: It seems to happen everytime I start the T3000 software?

Is the IP obtained by DHCP? If so, you can try to change it to Static IP.

IP is set to Static.

In addition to restoring the IP to factory settings, are there other parameters that need to be restored to factory settings?

All other settings stay the same, only the IP address changes.

  1. Are the same two or three units always restored to factory IP?
  2. Do you know about this situation only when you see the prompt of IP conflict every time you open the T3000 software?
  1. Always the same two or three units.
  2. I know about it before hand and when I try to access the units the screen that suggests a new IP address comes up.

I have also found I was using an old version of T3000, that I’m currently trying to update. You may want to update some older forum posts that point to the FTP site to download the latest version instead of Github

This is the first time we have received such feedback. Basically, after IP is set to static, it will not change, unless it is 0 read from E2prom, then it will be set to the default 192.168.0.3, I guess that is what you call the default IP. Or you can contact us by email, and if we can check the device remotely, we may be able to get more clues.
