PM2.5 BACNet Issues

I have some of your PM2.5/10 Particle Counters that I have purchased and I am trying to integrate them into a Metasys BAS via BACNet MSTP. I’m unable to see any of them. I have checked wiring (they are in the middle of the loop, and I can see everything before and after the device, but not the device itself). I’ve made sure the baud rate matches the other devices, and that the address is unique. Is there anything else I can check?

You can try to scan it with T3000 software first, and make sure the value of BACnet Instance is not greater than 0x3FFFFF.

I’ve confirmed that the instance number is set to 7015.

I’m able to see them via Yabe, when its connected on the MSTP trunk along with all the other Metasys and 3rd party MSTP devices. However when I try to poll the points for the PM2.5 sensor in Yabe, Yabe crashes. Its the only device that causes this to happen.

Using wireshark to capture and analyze packets can make it easier to find the cause. You can refer to this article written by Maurice.
