Using 3 different power meters to communicate with 1 T3-Nano

we are using 1 T3-Nano and trying to communicate with 3 - 3ph power monitors…
so far this is what i have put together

The greyed out items are local variables. You should head to the vars table and create VOLTAVG and so on there. Set the units, give the items a long 20 char name and a short 8 char name.

Once you do that head back into the program and check, the grey items should turn blue, these are global variables which you can put on displays, trend logs and alarms. Much more useful than local vars.

would this be the look that you are referring to Maurice?

I changed out the inputs and made them variables…

Yes, you have it right. Since you have three meters you’d create one var for VOLTAVG1, 2 and 3. Then repeat for the current and power parameters.

I have done that now, I can also change the values of the variables and see my graphic change state. but still drop out quite a bit with the NANO is like it just looses its mind and have to drop out of the program and reboot my computer and then reconnect… i have had to try different IP addresses multiple times and also totally wipe it and start from scratch twice so this module is definitely screwed up…

Havent heard of this behaviour before but we’re always on the lookout. Can you show me the communications health at Tab1 when the program is dropping out.

Also show the tree, if you have remnants of old devices in your system after changing IPs you may need to clear out the garbage. Do that at Tab2, not able to show the next dialog but you can ‘delete all nodes’ and recsan.

Started over now with the T3-Nano-ESP so far not one issue with setting it up.
still working with my IT Dept to figure out how to be able to view the Graphics remotely..

Glad to hear there’s progress. Send suggestions about the graphics, please. There’s one developer on it full time. You can use a winPC to serve up web pages. Not elegant but it works.

Chen Bin is in charge of the project, he will report back here shortly.

Thank you, Maurice, My IT dept really doesn’t want to have to deal with running a winpc to serve up web pages they would like to be able to use an app to connect with it remotely and display the graphics that have been created…

or be able to dial in directly through the network with the IP address and subnet. is it possible to run the software on a computer and talk to the T-3 nano esp from a different location? 2 different locations?

You dont need to have a PC running T3000 on site, you can access the system directly from any remote winPC running T3000. Access from basically any number of remote locations is supported.

Here’s how to set up remote access: Accessing a remote site
