Thanks for sharing this, at the moment the maximum size of the ID is one byte, 256. It’s a fairly large change for it to handle larger IDs since it will change the fundamental structure of objects in our system but I can see it’s a change we’re going to have to make.
update: There is a new ESP32 based version of our controllers coming out in Oct2021 which has a lot more resources, we’ll add it to the todo list to make this larger
