Trend storage problem

I have encountered a problem with trends. (Yes, I am still using the OLD Trend system.) I updated T3000 a few days ago

I installed an 8GB SD card in the T3-BB nearly 6 months ago, and have been logging data ever since - although not accessing all the time its still handy for a quick check from time to time. I keep it ON with short intervals so I can access recent history when needed

I recently encountered the error “not enough storage” when trying to display the trend.
I thought adding new data into a “full” SD card simply dropped old data “off the back” to make room for new data - not that it would reach any upper limit - Is that wrong?

Also, it seems there is a maximum storage for each monitor/channel, since I can

As a wrok-around I cleared some old trend data and started a new trend monitor (with the same inputs as before).

The original Trendlog function doesn’t support large data sets well as we’re seeing here. If this is important data we can help you to recover it manually.

All our efforts are with the new trendlog features which now feature a pipeline for all data of all controllers in the system to an SQL database. The system relies on a ‘server’ , a PC running T3000, to coordinate the storage. We’ll work on a cut down version which takes advantage of the on device storage so the PC only needs to run intermittently. That should be ready in a month or two.
