T3-OEM CAD File

Is there a possiblitiy to get a CAD/STEP file of the T3-OEM unit? I want to see how the face attaches to the unit and whether I can modify it so I can mount it flush to a enclosure door.
Are the electrical part of the buttons built into the face or are there pcb buttons beneath the face?

There’s a ‘CAD’ link on many of the product pages but the T3-OEM is not one of them.

For panel mounting, the backplate could definitely be reworked to facilitate the panel mount concept. If you were to work up a drawing I can get it made, though there’d be an MOQ of 50 or so backplate.

We have a Tstat11 in the works which will have the panel mount option. Here’s a preview of the LCD / Touchscreen. The wall mount version in the standard thermostat style enclosure will be sampling in the next couple of weeks.

Let me know a little more about your project and perhaps we can get the panel mount version of the Tstat11 under way now too.

I have 7 greenhouses and utilize the istat6 for them. I seal the pcb’s with a silicone based pcb coating but still have issues with the pin connections due to weather changes, so saw the t3-oem as an better alternative since I can wire directly. And thought of the panel mounting face as a solution to moisture issues that could possibly happen.
I got 1 tstat10 recently and like the open-sourced firmware so I can modify the display interface but found I cannot use it since I need at least two more digital or analog outputs (any free pins on the esp32 that i can wire a TTL signal relay and modify the firmware?)
This is right now for a super low quantity so just seeing what I can do with what is available.

ahh after review the code, looks like the stm32 deals with i/o.

Expansion: I know that every pin on those ESP32’s is used, yeah the STM is used for expansion. There may be a few spare pins on that but this sounds like a lot of work. Both T3000 and the device firmware will need rework. You could maybe find some cheap modbus IO expansion modules on taobao.

Show us what you’ve got going with the display. Thats good to hear folks are getting into this at that level.
