Remote Access to T3000/T3

The standard approach suggested for remote access is Port Forwarding.

However I am aware this creates a security weakness, and that using remote-access software such as RemotePC or AnyDesk - would offer more security and therefore be preferable. I assume the remote access software includes auto-answer or unattended access.

Remote access would also allow remote operation of other software besides T3000.

What is the standard Temco wisdom on the comparison?

For remote access, we generally recommend using remote-desktop tools. They are safer than port forwarding and allow you to operate T3000 and other software on the PC without exposing controller ports to the Internet.

Thank you - that’s what I will organize.

Another benefit of remote access is that it is easier to ensure the T3 and local PC become the ONLY true version of the program code.
