We had an ABB VFD that didn’t come from the factory with Ethernet (like the Honeywell VFD’s) but it did support Bacnet over RS485. So rather that string up RS485 wire back to an existing T3, we used an additional T3 and installed it right next to the VFD’s in the pump room. We already had ethernet there and we didn’t have to burden our existing T3’s with controlling the pumps.
Thanks for sharing Tdawg. If you haven’t seen the new T3-nano that’s the kind of application its aimed at. They have all the functionality of the programmable T3-XX controller series but without any on board i/o.
